About the Bootcamps – Learn, Build, Innovate
At STEAM Interactive Global, our STEM Bootcamps provide children and youth with hands-on experiences in coding, robotics, engineering, and creative problem-solving. Designed for school holidays, the bootcamps inspire curiosity, build 21st-century skills, and give learners the confidence to become creators of technology.
We run our bootcamps in collaboration with CEMASTEA (Centre for Mathematics, Science and Technology Education in Africa), at our centers as well as other partner institutions, ensuring learners access high-quality training environments.

Our Venues
CEMASTEA, Karen

We’ve been part of the CEMASTEA Holiday STEM Bootcamps since inception and are proud to celebrate the just concluded eighth successful series together.
The bootcamps, which started as simple way to engage a few kids have now grown to serve hundreds of learners with some travelling from quite distant counties such as Marsabit, Homabay, Kitui among others.
These camps bring together learners from across Nairobi and beyond, offering structured modules in coding, robotics, and STEM innovation.
Statehouse Girls High School – Uzuzi hub

A convenient location within Nairobi offering a vibrant space for learners to explore STEM.
Bootcamps at Statehouse Girls focus on project-based learning, encouraging learners to build and showcase their own creations.
This bootcamp runs every holiday period on a weekly basis.
Some highlights from this bootcamp
In collaboration with Uzuzi Hub, we recently held a 5-day STEM Bootcamp where learners explored coding with Scratch and hands-on robotics with LEGO EV3. Here’s what they achieved:
Scratch Coding Track
Learners mastered the Scratch 3 interface and key coding blocks.
They learned the basics of game development and created their own interactive games.
Collaboration across groups gave them a chance to connect coding with real robotics applications.
Robotics Track
Learners built and programmed robots using the LEGO EV3 kit.
They practiced moving robots between points, making precise turns, and carrying objects.
Introduced to sensor programming, they saw their robots respond to the environment — avoiding obstacles, detecting colors, and following lines.
The bootcamp climaxed with a Sumo Bot Challenge, where teams tested creativity and strategy. Both the girls’ team (strategy) and the boys’ team (strength) claimed victory in exciting matches!
Key Takeaways for Learners
- Problem-solving through coding and robotics challenges.
- Practical STEM skills in programming, engineering, and sensors.
- Collaboration & teamwork across coding and robotics groups.
- Confidence & creativity as learners showcased their final projects.
Host a Bootcamp at Your Venue
Did you know you can host a bootcamp at your doorstep?
Schools, community centers, and organizations can invite us to run a bootcamp at their location.
We bring the trainers, curriculum, and kits — you provide the learners and the space.
This kind of bootcamp may be organized for varied lengths depending on the availability of learners and time.
What Learners Gain
Coding skills (Scratch, App Development, Python basics for older learners).
Robotics skills (building, programming, problem-solving).
Creativity & Innovation (design thinking, prototyping).
Teamwork & Leadership through group projects and challenges.
Confidence & Presentation Skills via project demos at the end of each bootcamp.

Highlights from Past Bootcamps
Over the years, our STEM Bootcamps have:
Trained over 3,500 learners in coding and robotics.
Reached 217 schools across Nairobi and beyond.
Built confidence as learners presented their own games, apps, and robots.
Introduced advanced concepts like sensor-based robotics and game development to even the youngest learners.
