Robotics for Good Kenya 2026 National Championship

STEAM Interactive Global successfully hosted the second season of the Robotics for Good Youth Challenge Kenya National Championship, bringing together more than 300 attendees among them; learners, educators, mentors, and technology enthusiasts from across the country.

Held at CEMASTEA, Karen, the event provided a platform for young innovators to showcase robotics and artificial intelligence solutions addressing real-world challenges aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

A Celebration of Innovation

Participants demonstrated remarkable creativity, technical skills, and teamwork as they designed and presented innovative projects aimed at solving challenges in education, healthcare, agriculture, environmental conservation, and community development.

The championship attracted participants from schools representing different regions of Kenya, highlighting the growing interest in robotics and emerging technologies among young people.

Strategic Partnerships

The event was supported by a strong network of partners, including the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Google, Ministry of Information, Communication and Digital Economy, Communications Authority of Kenya, Giga, CEMASTEA, iHub, Futures Infinite, Blink Electrics, Pooltrex Systems, Digitoto and other stakeholders committed to promoting digital skills and innovation among youth.

Looking Ahead to Geneva

Following a highly competitive championship, winning teams earned the opportunity to represent Kenya at the global Robotics for Good Youth Challenge Grand Finale scheduled to take place in Geneva, Switzerland, from 7th to 10th July 2026.

Conclusion

The championship reaffirmed the importance of creating opportunities for young people to develop future-ready skills and use technology to create positive social impact.
